TOTAL SCAM! Do not use their service protection plan.

If something happens to your furniture they will use every excuse in the book to not cover it. Trust me, don't waste your money with them!

I bought a gazebo from the Bay and since the roof was made from a canopy material, the salesperson told me to purchase the protection plan in case something happened to it. Within 2 years I had 5 tears in the canopy so I filed my claim which was supposed to protect me for 3 years. Guardsman rejected it immediately and told me the tears had to be 1/2 inch from the seams.

I told them they were, and then they said it had to be MORE than 1/2 inch from the seam. They also told me I had to file within 14 days of seeing the tear. What kind of garbage excuse is that!? If the product is defective, it should be covered.

I shouldn't be penalized for having a busy life and not being able to fill out their lengthy paperwork the second I see a tear. Anyway, you get the point.

Anyone who works for this company should be ashamed of themselves.

Reason of review: Warranty issue.

Monetary Loss: $650.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

I didn't like: Service protection plan scam.
