My contract cost 108.00 for a 10 year "Fabric Plus replacement one time". My cat, unfortunately, urinated on my nice new couch. I have an odor, not a stain. Therefore my contract is worthless. Someone did come out to deoderize it. Did not work so when I called back to ask about a second treatment or replacement, I was told that the service I received was complementary and I should read my contract carefully. So, too bad for me. What was the point in buying it? If my cat STAINED the couch, with the smell, different story. But it just smells. I called Chem Dry and they just left. 125 to do the couch. I should have saved my money from guardsman. Another lesson learned.

Please do not purchase this protection plan.........I bought the ELITE protect plan for $300.00. I called to file a claim...They send you a package with a small envelope of a chemical that they want you to apply yourself. They do not live up to what they say at all...Please do not fall victim to this scam of a service....They will not entertain the thought of a refund. You can not speak to anyone with a brain in that company. And as soon as you contact the store, they dismiss you and ask you to contact Guardsman directly. No phone number at all for a district manager either. This was purchased at Jennifer Convertibles in Mohegan Lake, NY.

Another rip off company guardsman thank you for the warning I was about too spend £7,562 on 13 piece furniture and delivery charges I just cancelled my online order I buy elsewhere from a honest and loyal and trusting company not the way they treated you with honey pot traps and tricks asking for pic then lying and avoiding you and ignoring you and refusing your rights and obligations and freedom and warranty has kept me safe with my money thank you for your warning this report reminds me of the nazi's tricking children typically disgusting and disloyal and definitely dishonest

I bought a warranty for $250.00, they claim they cover everything!! My leather peeled and they denied claim. After that the arm broke off and they denied claim. They even said that the leather peeling was "normal wear and tear". The chair is a couple of years old and they make you jump through hoops and then they deny you!! You have to take pics and submit in 10 days and then they will send someone to look at it; (the window is all day). Not only did I have to stay home all day, I had to call, email, and take pictures. Never again will I buy guardsman/guardsman warranty.

Guardsman - Protection Plan Review from New York, New York

When I purchased a sectional from Bobs furniture store I purchased the warranty as well! One year into my warranty my sectional started to loose it shape meaning pillow became saggy and the frame became week! At the time it was only me and my 4/5 year old son who occupied the apartment. I called guardsman over 20 times with my same issue. They sent someone out to take pictures and no one came out after that! I called tell me to to email and or fax the claims paper. I did it on numerous occasions and they said they have yet to receive my claim paper. By the time I heard something back from Guardsman they tells me my warranty is up! Never will I trust them again in fact I'm report them to Better Business Bureau

Guardsman review in Lake Grove, New York: Aware of guardsmenit's a scam!

I decided to purchase guardsmen protection plan after I bought and remodeled my home. I've spent over $10,000 in furniture and thought I was buying a protection plan that would cover any accidental damage. After going through the process and uploading photos I have several pieces of my furniture throughout the last two years repaired. The company that represented guardsmen were unprofessional and not even in the line of repairing furniture but yet and air duct cleaning company. A Chair I had fell over they fixed it with Putty and spray-painted it not even in a color that matches. The way they do repairs I could've done it myself and save the money. Now my sofa has rip they no longer make the fabric they are refusing to repair or replace my sofa. I am posting this online hoping to save somebody the aggravation my family and I have had to go through. I wish I had read the reviews before I purchased this protection plan. Please do not spend money on this it's a scam!

Issue with guardsman representative and manager

Our two dinning chairs were broken accidentally so I called Guardsman and sent them pictures of broken chair. On March 7, some one from Guardsman called me and asked the reason for broke chairs. I said it don't know when it happened and exact reason. Based on my this statement without listening or giving me chance, representative told me that this is not accidental damage so your claim is declined. I asked how to do know that this is not accidental damage. Person told me that I have told him. I argued with person that I told that I do not know the exact time and reason. It might be my kids broken it. Person was not ready to accept my any reason and was so rude and do not want talk to me. I guess at last he hang up on me.I feel person was rude and unprofessional. I have spoken to manager also regarding this and guardsman had assumed that this is not accidental damage and not defect also. So my question to Guardsman as this is not manufacturing defect then how chair has broken itself.Manager has some funny reason to support claim for this logic. If chairs are broken it should be covered , it does not matter who broke it , when it was broken. I do not have video camera at home to record events how was chair broken , what time it was broken , who broke it. It is broke and Guardsman need to cover under accidently warranty.

This is exactly what just happened to me. Sofa I've had 3 weeks has *** in it - because I don't know the exact cause they said "it's not accidental" - what?

Are they implying it's intentional? I filed a report with the Better Business Bureau and have a call into LaZBoy who sold me the furniture and this *** policy.

I wish I'd read these reviews before I bought the warranty - I assumed a business would sell me an actual warranty policy. At this point I'm wishing I'd shelled out a couple hundred more dollars and bought nicer stuff from Ethan Allen :-(

I submitted a claim for a stain on my leather recliner, they use all kinds of trickery to say that the type of stain is not covered. I sent them 3 photo's that they required and they deemed not covered, they didn't even bother to send a real person to see the damage. They try to say the stain wasn't a stain but peeled leather, which it definitely was not. They also then argued with me that there was no actual stain but discoloration or fading. So I said if I had a stain and I cleaned it and the color came off the leather you wouldn't consider that a stain any longer, and so now I am not covered????? Tricks and lies, do NOT bother to buy their so-called protection it is a farce. Save your money!

First of all I called an answering service who took my information and related it to Guardsman without doing a physical assessment or requesting a photo to determine what kind of damage occurred. guardsman mailed me to indicate that the type of damage is not covered. it's easy to take our money which is a summ of $200.00 and not even try to review the request. I feel with all the technology that's available this company should take the time to call the customer and try to resolve the issue..instead I received an email that cannot reply to (block) so I can make my case and feel that their is an alternative resolution. Buyer beware.!
