Guardsman does not honor their warranties

I bought their policy with no furniture. When I needed it they answered the phone and were polite. I asked for service on 3 separate occasions. They never followed through. Their reps are paid to be polite, it seems and to put your complaint/request into the trash. There are companies that honor the warranty but the best is from the store itself, if at all possible. Most stores want to hand this off to a third party as then they have no responsibility and just pass you off. This company is not reputable so you are wasting your money to buy one of their policies. Google and find a company with better reviews.

Their warranty is a lie. I wasnt honored my warranty because I was supposed to call everyday to report my wear and tear scratches on my dinning table when I wanted them to fix a heat stain. Please do not get their warranty as you would get cheat out of your money. Please post complaints here to have enough evidence for the settlement we will need when I take them to court.

Guardsman in San Marcos, California - ABOMINABLE WARRANTY - TERRIBLE SERVICE

Bought a dinning set, 1 chair had loose joints and 2 more had the seat detached within days of use. Called for warranty repair as instructed by More Furniture in National City CA and after answering numerous questions Guardsman's joke of a warranty did not cover it. I realized later that the woman on the phone is looking for the consumer to word the situation in a way that all of my words were reconstructed to fit the parameters where my furniture was no longer covered. It is a shame that an American company like Guardsman is so crocked. Rats.

Just like everyone else I purchased a 5 year warranty and when my couch suffered covered damage they denied it, twice. Not to mention their warranty specifically states it's covered. Save your money for when you buy furniture the next time.

Issue with guardsman representative and manager

Our two dinning chairs were broken accidentally so I called Guardsman and sent them pictures of broken chair. On March 7, some one from Guardsman called me and asked the reason for broke chairs. I said it don't know when it happened and exact reason. Based on my this statement without listening or giving me chance, representative told me that this is not accidental damage so your claim is declined. I asked how to do know that this is not accidental damage. Person told me that I have told him. I argued with person that I told that I do not know the exact time and reason. It might be my kids broken it. Person was not ready to accept my any reason and was so rude and do not want talk to me. I guess at last he hang up on me.I feel person was rude and unprofessional. I have spoken to manager also regarding this and guardsman had assumed that this is not accidental damage and not defect also. So my question to Guardsman as this is not manufacturing defect then how chair has broken itself.Manager has some funny reason to support claim for this logic. If chairs are broken it should be covered , it does not matter who broke it , when it was broken. I do not have video camera at home to record events how was chair broken , what time it was broken , who broke it. It is broke and Guardsman need to cover under accidently warranty.

This is exactly what just happened to me. Sofa I've had 3 weeks has *** in it - because I don't know the exact cause they said "it's not accidental" - what?

Are they implying it's intentional? I filed a report with the Better Business Bureau and have a call into LaZBoy who sold me the furniture and this *** policy.

I wish I'd read these reviews before I bought the warranty - I assumed a business would sell me an actual warranty policy. At this point I'm wishing I'd shelled out a couple hundred more dollars and bought nicer stuff from Ethan Allen :-(
