Purchased leather recliner from LAZBOY and was sold an protection plan offered by Guardsman. Had a rip/tear develop in the back of the recliner, filed a repair request, (not an easy Process) and have since been told it is not covered.
The contract under "what is covered" #5 reads "Any puncture, cut, tear and rip from a specific incident.
We did not know when the specific incident happened so wrote unknown. This is what they cite for disallowing our claim.
Customer service was of no help at all. LAZBOY no longer uses GUARDSMAN and was also of no help.
