I bought really expensive table with Guardsman protection , after a month I see powdery white substance on the table and I called Guardsman, they took a 2 weeks to approve my claim and then another 2 weeks for there contractor to come out . Unfortunately the contractor stayed for 2minutes tried to clean the table with some kind of liquid but the it did not work. He said he cannot help and he left .. It's been 2 weeks since I'm following up with Guardsman customer service. There customer service is so bad, after waiting for an hr to talk to a person they hang up and put me back into the queue for indefinite time. This is one of the worst experiences I ever had. I hope to go back to the place I bought this useless warranty and refund my money. Really Bad...

I received a geode as a gift and immediately dropped it and broke the corner off of my end table. I called Guardsman, they sent out a form to fill out, I sent a picture along with the filled out form. Without much delay I was issued a credit at the store I purchased my table from. It was pretty painless. I found the representative I dealt with to be very professional. I expected to have to jump through hoops and it was much easier and more effective than I imagined. I would highly recommend purchasing the additional protection. The cost of one end table was more than I paid for the coverage.

Guardsman review in Darien, Connecticut: A small ember flew out of the fireplace and burned *** in the cushion

Our claim for repair of a burn in the fabric cushion was denied because they said the damage to our 1 year old sofa was caused by a "natural" act, fire (or flood). At the same time, burns are very clearly covered under our "policy", which I now realize is a joke. We did not experience a "fire", we had a 'burn' in the fabric, which is covered. I could not get the customer service rep to explain the difference between a 'burn' and a 'fire' though he offered their years of experience made their opinion final with o appeal process available. This company does not stand behind what they say and I am taking to Facebook to let the world know what a rip off this organization is. Their customer service people are rude and dismissive.

I submitted a claim which was an obviously covered damaged according to my plan and it was declined. They said the damage was a snag, not a rip or tear. I can put my finger right thru the material. It is definitely not just a "snag". I even offered to send in new pictures but they said that would not help as the claim is denied. Another thing is that you cannot ever resubmit a claim for the same damage. They know how to use semantics to justify their denying a claim. Also I noticed they only put great reviews on their website. What happens to the thousands of bad ones. I will never purchase this service again! BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE!!!!!

I truly hope anybody purchasing new furniture reads all the complaints against Guardsman Elite Furniture Protection Plan BEFORE they are emotionally invested in their new furniture and feel compelled to "protect" their investment with Guardsman Protection Service. I purchased my furniture almost three years ago; it was a big investment for us. I vacuum it weekly and take good care of my furniture. On Christmas Day 2012, I believe, my niece wearing her new boots, left behind stains on the skirt of my sofa. I called Guardsman, completed the internet requirements, mailed in the other paperwork, only to be declined. Today I spoke to three people and was told that stain was NOT covered under my agreement. However, you purchase the protection program before really knowing what is covered. It was not a liquid, pen, or human stain. They recommend I go to their website and contact a furniture cleaner they have listed, however, the cleaning would be at my expense. In the end, Patrick, one of the "big wigs" offered to send me some products to clean the stains myself. I asked for a refund, but of course, they do not issue refunds. After I had purchased the agreement, I noticed online all the complaints. PLEASE TAKE THE COMPLAINTS SERIOUSLY. SAFE YOURSELF $$. The Guardsman protection program is also included in the tax you pay on your furniture purchase.

Guardsman- Never again!

I purchased the Bob's protection plan when i bought my bedroom set three years ago. First of all, Bob's doesn't tell you that it isn't Bob but an outside company, Guardsman, who will supposedly fix the damages. After 3 years of NEVER filing a claim, I accidentally hit my footboard with a ladder while walking by it. I looked at my protection plan and Guardsman says it covers "accidental gouges." So i called Guarsdman who sent me an email with a claim form. I filled out the whole form, took the pictures, had to mail it in and wait. Finally after 2 weeks of no reply I called them only to find out that they had denied my claim. They said the damages had occurred over time, not in one incident!...I couldn't believe it. Even if that was the case, which it wasn't, how could they tell that by looking at a photo?! I asked to speak to a supervisor and Linda told me they would have a manager review my claim. Again I had to call her back after never hearing back from her and she told me my claim had still been denied....if they don't cover what they say they cover on their website then what the *** do they cover? I'm really pissed that I spent my hard earned money on a plan that won't cover any damages....DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON GUARDSMAN!!!

Guardsman SUCKS!!! Don't believe what they promise or advertise!

I purchased a leather couch, chair and ottoman from Bob's Discount Furniture and purchased the Guardsman warranty...big mistake. Hot food spilled on the couch and caused damage...not to worry I thought...I took out a $400 warranty...the process was ridiculous...fill out forms, send picturees..then they sent someone out to actually look at the damage...three weeks later I was denied...no exact reason but that the damage was not covered under the warranty and that the damage was normal wear and tear...***...I purchased that couch 3 years ago and a cover is on that couch at all times except when company comes over....it looked brand new...I called numerous times with no response. I ended up going into the store where I purchased it and to Bob's credit, they sent someone else out on their dime to repair the damage....I then filed a complaint with the department of consumer protection here in CT and just received a letter that no one at Guardsman has returned their request for an explanation to my complaint....they don't have the balls....they are slime.....never ever will I purchase an extended warranty... buyer beware!!!

I have also had a very bad experience with Guardsman. Followed all the rules.

Submitted requested paperwork, etc. Had to call them 3 times over a 3 month period to find out the status of my claim. Kept being told they were "investigating" my situation. I finally had to call the store that I bought my sofa from to get them involved then I was told by Guardsman that I didnt report my claim within 5 days and that they had called me to let me know this.

This is a complete lie!! I called them..they never called me.

I also reported within the 5 days as requested. They will not bend and will not honor this warranty

I bought a suite with guardsman cover i have just tried to make a claim as one side of sofa has collapsed stitching is coming undone and leather is scratched in places and a zip has broken. they have told me i am not covered as it is not accidental damage this is beyond rediculous and a total waste of time having the policy.

we were told when we bought the couch it was covered for structural damage along with evey thing else. but both guardsman and SCS are saying its not covered.

what a scam. Ill never buy from either company again.
