We bought 3000$ leather at Mors with additional 500$ protection plan under Guardman. We are denied twice by guardman manager when we requested our loveseat w/c has puncture to get fixed but the manager Elva said we are not eligible coz my wife reported over the phone that it is peeling off as Miss Elva misunderstood it. How come they dont send a repairman to check it out if its under their coverage or not before they say its not at all.We paid 500$ for this plan and according to Mors they will cover any damage w/ no questions ask and that's the reason why we bought this plan! What a scam!

Guardsman review in San Diego, California: Gaurdsman are Crooks!

I bought a new marble table and 8 chairs from a store in San Diego and purchased the Gaurdsman plan to cover any damages. I had a minor spill on my new table and it stained and one of the chairs was broken from the get-go. My husband called to submit the claim on Jan 7. They emailed paperwork which we filled out and returned. They received the paperwork on Feb 19. They are denying the claim because it has been over 30 days and said they will deny all future claims that have the same issue! I am calling my credit card company to contest the transaction. I will not pay for a scam. There should be a class-action law suit against these guys!

I agree, this insurance is a rip-off! I would never purchase it again. We have a leather chair that when wiping clean I accidently tore the leather when my diamond ring caught on the leather folds. They won't cover it! Said it doesn't cover for that type of damage?! The policy clearly states repairs or replacement for torn leather due to accident. WTF!

It clearly states in the plan that claims must be made within 5 business days!!!! The company is not a crook because you can't follow simple instructions!

Actually I looked all over the forms they sent and through my contract. and no where does it state a time line.

I filled out the forms to have them re-evaluate my claim which they rejected due to the claim not being filled out within ten days (which they stated was on the claim form). Its not.

So yes the company is crooks but I have a paper trail to show my credit card company. Thanks to American Express who are NOT crooks and look out for their customers!

I am furious that Guardsman is taking people for idiots

Few days aga, I filed a claim with Guardsman for a cut behind my sofa. I bought 3 couches at Jerome's in 2009 and I bought the extended warranty with Guardsman at the store. I realised that I have a cut on the back of my sofa and filled a form on line and also mailed the purchase proofs. They sent an email back saying that we have to claim in the next 5 days after the accident happened. Cannot describe how it happened because I just saw the cut and contacted the company about it with all the details ( photos, size of the cut etc.). Nobody left a signature on that cut. I am warning anybody not to buy this kind of insurance. You are better off paying for repairs when it happens. Like a lot of people say, they will do anything they can to get away without paying.

Guardsman refuses to honor the agreement

We bought a white sectional couch (6 pieces) from Mor furniture two years ago.We opted for Guardsman 5 yr fablic plus furniture protection plan since we have a white couch and a kid.Whenever I put in a request after any accidental food spills on the sectional,Guardsman came out to help and we never had to negotiate with them.They serviced the stains may be 5 times in a span of twop years which is not uncommon.Un fortunately,there were soem more food/beverage stains at arecent party at home and when i sent out a request form to Guardsman ,they asked me to send pics of the stains which they never asked before during any of the previous cleaning sessions.But i sent them the pics very diligently ,weeks go by nobody responded and one fine day we get this letter from the account manager @ Guardsman rejecting our claim and the excuse was that they felt we were going for overall cleanup and not cleanup of stains which is absurd....they just wanted to put the blame on us and get away with it,My couch is in a very bad condition right now Not sure if I cna seek other professional services to get the job done.But if I do,I'm sure Guardsman will even cancel the plan on the grounds that the furniture was cleaned by other agents.I need help! I want to go to BBB? Did anybody already report to BBB

Guardsman, has the worst service and very rude. Just to file a claim you have to jump through hoops to get the okay. There system is outdated...have to mail proof of purchase of furniture, proof of purchase of warranty, take pictures. wait three weeks. then wait a month just to get someone out to your house. if they even approve it. supervisor Alison was no help and straight rude. The place I purchased my furniture only provided a receipt for each piece of furniture along with the proof of purchase for gaurdsman. But the description on the receipt for each piece of my couch wasn't good enough for them. Sku number was provide with price and the brand of each piece. luckly after complaining to the furniture place about gaurdsmans service they agreed to take care of my complaint themself. And agreed to get it done in two days not two months.
