Guardsman review in Los Angeles, California: How many lies?

Their reps will literally lie and give you the run-around forcing you to miss their deadlines. The sales reps misrepresent the insurance product and what it covers to get the sale, but what they promise is later not covered. A claim of mine that IS covered they simply keep sending out someone to "spray" the damaged leather area. The leather is MISSING, so no amount of spray is going to work. The language says the item would be repaired, replaced, or a cash settlement offered. Yet they just keep spraying the furniture and making me refile. It's absolutely fraudulent.

Guardsman is a ripoff,when u buy the plan they dont explain what it protects until is too late,after i send them the form for service they ask for photos of the damage then it boiled down to it doesn't protect this it doesn't protect that well i ask them what it protects and why buy a insurance that doesn't protect anything thats like giving them my money for nothing,i ask them for the refund of my money and they said i was entitled to $23.09 thats the 10% of the money i paid them

Guardsman review in Los Angeles, California: Nightmare

I bought a Leather Sofa at ASHLEY furniture and I got Guardsman to protect it, but now that I need some repairs in the sofa they are refusing to do it. The worst protection plan for your furniture is GUARDSMAN. Do not buy this plan. They really do not care for your things. I will never use this company again. If you are about to buy anything from ASHLEY FURNITURE do not get GUARDSMANS protection plan for your furniture,bed or tables.

Their warranty is a lie. I wasnt honored my warranty because I was supposed to call everyday to report my wear and tear scratches on my dinning table when I wanted them to fix a heat stain. Please do not get their warranty as you would get cheat out of your money. Please post complaints here to have enough evidence for the settlement we will need when I take them to court.

They have fine print and do not cover much. If you have damage and do not report it immediately (within 5 days) and have every bit of paperwork immediately they will take your money and leave you screwed. I easily could have lied about timing and it would have been covered. They make no exceptions. It's a total rip off. Never again. Furniture store will talk you into paying for this and they make or sound so good but it's not and it was an expensive mistake on my part to believe it. And the furniture store did not tell me to read the fine print.

Guardsman Is a RIPOFF do not buy.

They sell it to you when you buy the furniture as a warranty for stains,tears and other incidents. But, when I tried to use it for a tear. They said it wasnt covered because it was a seam. If I would have taken a scissor and cut it by mistake then its covered. That makes absolutely no SENSE. I asked them to send me a pro rated amount back for my policy and to cancel. They were useless and very time consuming. First you call place a report then they send you a forms you take pictures and send back to them. They dont even call you back to let you know your request arrived. They are a complete waste of time and money. I will never ever be taken by this company again.

This company has so many rules to filing a claim it is perfectly clear that they have no intention of ever fixing anything. I have a 5 year that is only good within 5 days of the incident. I did not know the exact date of the incident so I guessed Wrong I should have lied and said it was the same day or yesterday and I would have been alright. If you purchase a protection plan for 5 years if I wait until day before the plan expires and report it should still be covered. Ashely furniture I will never purchase from you again you set the customer up with this protection plan that does not care about your customers.

I have filed 2 claims successfully with Guardsman, even though it took a couple of months to process the paperwork they require and wait for them to decide to send someone out. I recently reported that a wooden support board on my rocker/recliner had broken and the chair would not stay folded. They declined it stating "the required reporting timeframe for the stain or damage has not been met under the terms of the protection plan." I made a phone call to get clarification. I left voice mail on a message center that said I would receive a return call within 48 hours. No call. So I called again. I finally talked to Patrick, 800-253-3957 x 2765, who was the original voice mail I left my message on. He was very courteous, but adamant about the time frame of my reporting the claim. He said it had to be reported within 5 days. If I had known that I would have put the date on the report as the day I called! (I hate to lie, but if it is to protect myself from dishonest people/companies I will) I told him I would not have been able to call within that 5 day time frame because I had gone out of town. And that the time frame was ***! (I also never swear!)So I am left with a broken chair! I will be calling Jerome's Furniture and informing them of the problems I am having. Guardsman is a pain to work with. I will never get a warranty on furniture again....until I research other people's results online! These companies have not realized yet that the internet will be their downfall as more and more customers turn to it to find out the treatment other customers have had.

We paid $162 for this service agreement. We are not pleased with it because a lot of time to submit a request. You must take a picture with a ruler or a nickel to give them an idea of how bit the item is, there are way to many questions involved??!! This is crazy! It took me more then an hour just to fill out all of the required information, then come to find out that I still need to print a two page form to fill out and mail!!?? LOL!!! I'm sure about 80% of the people buying this insurance simply refrain from even submitting a request because of the time restraint. Don't wast your time and money!!
