Guardsman review: Poor products, poor customer service, no pride in their products

lift chair. structural damage to the back. Called on the 6th day. Too late. One day late. WOW. Would not even consider helping us with the damage. Not like it was a ink stain. This is structural damage. All I need is for my mother to fall to the side, out of the chair. Also, that week, my mother, 87, was taken to ER. severe case of Shingles. I have the verification showing this. For about 3 days my mind was trying to keep her out of pain and comfortable. My mind was elsewhere and not on my reporting duties.

Guardsman does not honor their warranties

I bought their policy with no furniture. When I needed it they answered the phone and were polite. I asked for service on 3 separate occasions. They never followed through. Their reps are paid to be polite, it seems and to put your complaint/request into the trash. There are companies that honor the warranty but the best is from the store itself, if at all possible. Most stores want to hand this off to a third party as then they have no responsibility and just pass you off. This company is not reputable so you are wasting your money to buy one of their policies. Google and find a company with better reviews.

Guardsman review: Awful protection plan

We bought our couch 2 years ago and purchased a 5 year protection plan. So frustrated the couch is considered unserviceable with 3 stains on it that should have been covered. So are you planning on reimbursing my 3 years I lost. Never using you again. What a lousy company.

Guardsman review in Jackson, Michigan: Table at Homemakers

We purchased a dining room table & 6 chairs at Homemakers in Urbandale. We were told the warranty covered basically everything that could happen to a table. Sales clerk called it "total peace of mind." A year later, we noticed the table's veneer or finish started to chip off. We filled out complaint form online with photos. One question asked how the damage occurred and we stated (truthfully) we weren't sure. The claim was denied because "damage from unknown occurrences are not covered." I called Homemakers and was basically told I needed to make up a story as to how the finish got damaged and it might have been covered. Homemakers was no help at all either.

Absolute garbage customer service. It’s been 2 weeks since I’ve submitted my claim to Guardsman. Customer service is rude, and they avoid at all costs sending anyone to clean the furniture.

I have Guardsman coverage and filed a claim and was very pleased.

Our sofa was repaired in a timely manner and they did a great job.

Guardsman review: Buying and insuring what I thought was quality furniture and backing it up with an insurance plan

Because I was purchasing a big ticket item I thought it would be smart to purchase insurance. But I totally got scammed. After less than 4 years of owning my living room furniture ( which by the way was rarely sat on) The material began to crack and tear, the dinning room chair joints became loose and not able to tighten (due to stripping), I purchased my furniture from a well known establishment assuming I would receive quality furniture that would last. I don't have small children or animals in the house, the furniture just didn't live up to standard. So I thought maybe that's why they offered insurance and was happy I had purchased it. Until I submitted my claim and it was denied. I feel like I was robbed without a gun! Do not purchase this insurance unless you have money to burn.
