They stink
I put a claim in for a sectional I bought, the technician came to my house and was unable to repair it. I already knew that that would happen but when they emailed me to say that I waited for the next step, that never happened.
I called them back before the holidays and spent literally 2 hrs on hold only to have a RUDE customer service rep tell me that they couldn't repair or replace the sectional because the store I bought the furniture from went out of business and they couldn't order a replacement piece from them. The sectional is Ashely Furniture.
So I said well what now and CS said that I had to request the money that I spent for the Protection plan. I said is there a form to fill out and she says "NO" you have to get the receipt on how much you paid for the Plan.
Great I have no idea where the receipt is. I eventually went to the store which was bought under the same name.
Total BS.
but after some talking I was able to get the receipt from them. Now I have to write a letter explaining the whole story to get my money back.

"the required timeframe for damage was not met" That was their response to our claim..
Exactly how quick do you have to report the damage? One second?
Five seconds? Because we made the claim the very next day during BUSINESS HOURS and they denied our claim due to the time frame not being met? Are they serious??
We purchased the furniture through Marksons Furniture in Rochester, New York. They sold us this insurance plan therefore they are partly responsible.
I'm not done fighting this anymore than I will remain quiet.
I do not like when Corporations/Businesses RIP OFF American consumers. If I can't win, then I will do my best to persuade people from buying their services.

Noticed below asking for proof, I can get proof but I'm thinking consumers will take my word for it since I don't make it a habit to waste my time making false claims about businesses.
I'm a proud American and would never make false claims to hurt any business that didn't have it coming to them. This one does..!

Bought gold plan at Ethan Allen for Ming Dynasty table. Found two small nicks probably from vacuming which housekeeper and i do but didn't see it happen. Denied claim as she was deemed an independent
User's recommendation: Don't but 300 per plan when you know they deny everything is theft. If id placed a glass on the table the nick could have happened. We don't live in museums
