Don't get the Guardsman protection! They do not honor their commitment to fix your furniture! I submitted a claim and ot was denied. Then I wrote a complaint and two months later heard back from the company giving me three options. I chose to have the whole table replaced, but the warranty would no longer be valid, even though we paid for it. They tolde it was because there was no one in our area to fix it! So, my question is why sell your services to an area ypu have no representatives at. P.S. My claim most likely would have been left ay denied and I would keep the *** table if I didn't challenge it. This is a scam!

Guardsman review in Blair, Nebraska: Dont waste your money

I purchased a couch from Nebraska furniture mart. They must get a good kick back on the guardsmen warranty, because it must be worth the risk of losing customers in their stores. What kind of warranty, covers a spill on the seat of a couch, but the stain on the back rest of the same couch is ineligible for repair, which the warranty clearly states, any and all damage is covered. and the time frame thing, that basically allows them to kick any paying customer to the curb at any moment is a low blow. I wasted 80$ on guardsmen and it will not happen again! I went against my better judgment and listened to the insistence of my wife to purchase this bogus warranty that I knew was a scam to begin with. Go with your gut, don't be a ***. I will also boycott Valspar altogether.

Guardsman review: Poor Customer Service

Almost 2 weeks to review the claim, another week to schedule a technician to come out and look at the damage. Then another 4-6 weeks to "mail the part" to me. After 4 weeks, I receive an emails stating the part is no longer available - they offer me a cash settlement which is nowhere near what I paid for the item or replacement. We chose for the replacement. 2 days later, another email that the part was suddenly located and it will take another 3-4 weeks for the part to arrive and then a technician will be scheduled to install the part. Not worth the money!

I was conned into buying these worthless warranty's on multiple pieces of furniture I purchased from Ashley. I notice a small bit of damage on the sleigh bed frame. I contacted Guardsman and filed a claim, and was promptly denied. After checking the BBB I found that these losers had hundreds of complaints for the same thing. These dirt bags are more than happy to take your money, but the moment you file the smallest claim, it's sorry, that's not covered. God knows how much money these *** are stealing from consumers each year, under the guise of protecting your furniture. A word to the wise! Do not do business with Guardsman, you will be throwing your money away.

All of these extended warranties for most everything are nothing but a waste of money on your part and effortless profit on the part of the conniving store selling the merchandise and the company behind the "warranty" or "protection" plan.

5 days to report damage. Well, the plan says I can get the form online; that apparently doesn't mean I can submit it online! So I called to have a form sent to me. It took longer than 5 days to get the form in the mail!! Once I submitted the form I was told a week later that I was denied because I didn't meet the timeframe. What a rip off! Guess better break out the needle and thread to do some self repairs. THanks for nothin Guardsman and NEFurniture Mart!!

I was informed that my 2 year old couch would not be covered because I did not cause the damage. Apparently the ripped leather between the cushions is not covered. I was basically informed that I would need to spill something on it to qualify for replacement/repair. I read a bunch of reviews and hoped that my outcome would be different. This company was never established to help people. Next time I buy a piece of furniture, it certainly won't be from Nebraska Furniture Mart, and there's not a chance that I will purchase any "protection" plans. I've wasted so much money and time.

I bought this extended warranty for my futon. Once, my cat scratched the sofa, and they wouldn't cover it after not responding for weeks. Now, I tore it moving it, and accidents are supposed to be covered. He said since it was an "abrasion" and not a actual tear, they wouldn't cover it. They are AWFUL. I have warranties on almost everything and this is the worst experience I have had by far. I have a language degree and by playing with words so to deny a warranty I paid for, this is unethical. The words are the very same.

I paid Guardsman $198.00 for a furniture protection plan on two leather LaZboy recliners. When I called them for the procedure to file a claim, the woman told me I had 10 days to return it. I told her I would wait till I got back from vacation to initiate the service request since I would not be home to receive the claim forms in the time frame she quoted. She told me not to worry, it would be fine. I sent the forms, receipts, and contract copy upon my return from vacation September 6. Today, September 28, I received a reject letter from Guardsman because they say I did not meet the time frame. The time frame on my contract is 30 days. I called them and was told they count the time from the day I called to request the forms. They denied their employee told me it would be fine, and will not honor their contract.

We has same experience with guardsman 5 years extended warranty when we bought two reclining sofas from Backs Furniture. On second year the paint started falling a part, and here fun began: they said that this type of defect is not gonna be covered cause it is factory quality issue, then we had frame deformed and scratch on the fake leather, as we found it later on ,cause store sold it to us as original leather furniture, but here is same fun, the guardsman service guy declined repair cause of multiple damages on the sofa, but "good stuff of it" we received some refund $2.78 cents.... Full scam laying money makers, horoble customer service by the phone....
